This Whitewood Treated Weatherboard (16x137mm) is a premium, versatile external timber cladding designed for durability and a clean, modern aesthetic. Typically manufactured from slow-grown Scandinavian Whitewood, it is pressure-treated to withstand the rigors of outdoor exposure while providing a professional finish to sheds, summerhouses, and residential outbuildings.

Key Features & Benefits

• Weather Resistance: The pressure treatment (often Tanalith E or similar) ensures the wood is protected against fungal decay, wood-boring insects, and damp conditions

• Precision Fit: The Tongue and Groove profile allows the boards to interlock tightly. This not only creates a flush, uniform surface but also prevents water ingress and provides structural stability as the wood expands or contracts.

• Sustainable Sourcing: Typically sourced from FSC or PEFC-certified forests, ensuring the timber comes from responsibly managed woodlands.

• Aesthetic Appeal: The light, natural color of Whitewood offers a contemporary look that can be easily stained or painted to match your project’s color scheme.

The 16x137mm Weatherboard is the industry standard for high-quality garden buildings and external wall coverings.

It is best suited for horizontal installation, where its profile allows rainwater to run off the face effectively. Because it is sold per linear metre, it is easy to calculate the exact amount needed for your project area, though it is always recommended to account for roughly 10% wastage for cuts and joints.
