Beatsons Featheredge Fence slat 22mm

Our premium Treated Featheredge Fence Slats are the industry standard for constructing robust, traditional closeboard fencing. Each board is precision-cut diagonally from a 22mm thick piece of timber, creating a tapered profile that allows for a seamless overlap. This design not only provides a beautiful, textured aesthetic but also ensures a complete lack of gaps for maximum privacy and security.

Key Features

• Pressure Treated (Tanalised): Deep-penetrating preservative treatment protects the wood against fungal decay, insect attack, and harsh weathering, significantly extending the lifespan of your fence.

• Superior Privacy: The tapered "feather" design allows boards to overlap (typically by 25mm), creating a solid barrier that blocks wind and prying eyes.

• Heavy-Duty Profile: At 22mm thick (before tapering), these slats are substantially more durable than thinner 15mm or 19mm alternatives, making them ideal for high-wind areas.

• Versatile Installation: Perfect for building new closeboard fence runs or repairing existing panels. These boards are designed to be nailed vertically to horizontal arris or rectangular rails.

• Sustainably Sourced: High-quality softwood timber sourced from responsibly managed forests.

If you are looking to build a "forever fence," the 1.8m x 125mm x 22mm Featheredge Slat is the professional’s choice. It offers the perfect balance of height for perimeter security and a heavy-duty thickness that resists warping and impact. Whether you're a DIY enthusiast or a trade professional, these slats provide a clean, uniform finish that stands the test of time.

Pro Tip: To calculate how many boards you need, we recommend allowing for a 25mm overlap. For 125mm boards, this means you will need 10 boards per linear meter of fencing.
