Beatsons Square End Fence Post - 2400mm x 100mm x 100mm (8'x4"x4")

Beatsons Square End Fence Post, 2.4m x 100mm x 100mm (8ft x 4" x 4"), is a pressure-treated sawn timber post designed for garden, agricultural, and general fencing projects. Treated against fungal decay and insect attack, it provides a sturdy fixing point for fence rails, slats, and panels. The square sawn profile gives a rough, natural timber finish suited to rural and domestic boundary fencing.

Beatsons Fence Posts are sawn, square-edge posts designed to support fence rails and slats or act as a corner/end post in agricultural, garden, or boundary fencing. It's also suitable for external landscaping projects such as decking substructure.

The timber has been pressure treated to resist fungal decay and insect attack. Beatsons recommends re-staining fence posts, rails, and slats every two years to maintain the timber's condition and appearance.

Available as a single size, square sawn profile, natural/rough timber finish (untreated colour, ready for staining or painting).

Frequently Aasked Questions

How long will a pressure treated fence post last?
Lifespan depends heavily on treatment class, ground contact, and maintenance, not on pressure treatment alone. Beatsons recommends re-staining every two years.

What size fence post do I need for a 1.8m fence slat?
As a general rule of thumb roughly one-third of a post's length is set into the ground, so a 2.4m post suits panels up to around 1.8m, leaving enough post above ground. Confirm burial depth against current treatment suitability first, given the point above.
