Everbuild SikaBond PVA+ D2 Bonding Agent

Sikabond PVA+ / similar SikaBond PVA D2 is a polyvinyl acetate (PVA)‑based bonding agent — a white, water‑based liquid used as a general‑purpose adhesive, primer, sealer and admixture in building and renovation work. It is classified to EN 204:2016 as a D2 wood adhesive, meaning it meets specific standards for interior moisture resistance and bonding performance.

Typical Uses

SikaBond PVA D2 is highly versatile and can be used for:
✔ Bonding plaster, wood, paper, textiles, cork and other porous materials. 
✔ Acting as a bonding agent for plaster, cement screeds and render to sound substrates such as concrete, brick or stone. Sika UK

✔ Mortar admixture to improve adhesion in screeds, renders or repair mortars. Sika UK
✔ Filling applications (e.g., mixed with wood shavings or plaster as an internal filler).

How It Works

PVA bonding agents like this create a “sticky” surface layer that significantly improves the bond between old/new materials or between plaster/mortar and substrates. They are especially useful where surfaces are porous or dusty. You can apply it neat or diluted with water depending on the application (e.g., diluted as a primer/sealer).

Application Tips

• As a primer/sealer: Dilute with water and brush onto the surface before plaster or tile adhesive.

• As a bonding agent: Apply neat to the substrate so that it’s still slightly tacky before adding plaster/mortar. 

• Clean tools with water immediately after use
