McAlpine Plumbing 1¼" FLEXCON1 Flexible Connector - Universal x Plain Spigot

This product is a versatile plumbing component designed to bridge the gap between mismatched or misaligned pipes. The 1¼" FLEXCON1 is specifically engineered for flexibility, making it an ideal solution for tight spaces where rigid piping won't fit.

Key Specifications

• Size: 1¼" (Standard size for many basin and sink wastes).

• Connection Type: Universal x Plain Spigot.

• Material: High-quality flexible plastic/polypropylene, designed to withstand standard domestic water temperatures and chemicals.

Understanding the Connections

• This connector is "Universal," meaning it is designed to be forgiving during installation
• Universal Inlet: This end typically features a compression-style fitting with a shaped internal washer. It can connect to plastic, copper, or lead piping, even if the pipe is slightly out of alignment.
• Plain Spigot: This is the "male" end of the connector. It is a smooth pipe section designed to be pushed directly into a standard 1¼" compression or solvent weld socket.

Core Benefits

• Adjustability: The concertina-style body allows you to expand, contract, and bend the connector to reach awkward angles.

• Problem Solver: Perfect for situations where the waste outlet on a new sink doesn't line up with the existing wall pipe.

• Easy Install: Because it uses a compression nut on one end and a spigot on the other, it generally requires no special tools or messy glues to achieve a watertight seal.
