Eliza Tinsley Heavy Hasp & Staple With Brass Pin

A Heavy Hasp & Staple with Brass Pin is a robust gate hardware component designed for securing doors, gates, cabinets, and other enclosures. It typically consists of the following parts:

1. Hasp Plate:

   • A strong, flat metal plate with one end designed to pivot or fold over the staple.
   • Often pre-drilled for screw or bolt attachment to a surface (e.g., wooden gates, metal doors).
   • Made from durable steel (Galvanised & Black powder coated)

2. Staple (or Loop):

   • A D-shaped metal loop fixed onto the opposing surface to receive the hasp.
   • Designed to accommodate a locking mechanism such as a padlock or bolt.

3. Brass Pin:

   • Provides additional strength and corrosion resistance to the locking mechanism.
   • Brass is used for its non-corrosive properties and smooth operation.
   • Often removable or integrated into the design for added security.

Features:

• Heavy-Duty Construction: Built to withstand heavy use and resist tampering.
• Corrosion Resistance: Often galvanized or powder-coated, with the brass pin offering extra durability in outdoor environments.
• Tamper-Resistant Design: Concealed fixings and reinforced hinge points for enhanced security.
• Versatile Applications: Suitable for outdoor gates, storage sheds, garages, barn doors, and commercial settings.

Installation Considerations:

• Ensure proper alignment between the hasp and staple for secure closure.
• Use heavy-duty screws or bolts appropriate for the surface material (wood, metal, etc.).
• Consider adding a padlock for enhanced security.
