High-performance protection for exterior timber

Ronseal Total Wood Preserver in Clear is designed to shield outdoor timber from the elements. Suitable for sheds, fences and other exterior wood, it penetrates deeply to help prevent rot, decay and discolouring fungi. This formula also guards against woodworm, leaving your timber structurally sound and ready for long-term use.

Usage Guide

Preparation

Ensure the wood is clean and dry. Remove dirt with a stiff broom. Treat any mould, algae or fungi with a suitable garden cleaner. Strengthen decayed areas with a wood hardener. Strip or sand away any existing paints, stains or varnishes.

Application

Shake the tin thoroughly. Dip end grains into the preserver to achieve full absorption. Apply evenly with a brush and allow 24 hours to dry. Apply a second coat using the same method. Allow the second coat to dry completely before carrying out any repairs or gluing.

Aftercare

Apply a fresh coat annually to maintain performance.

Cleaning

Wipe excess product from brushes, then clean with a brush cleaner. Do not pour leftover product into drains or watercourses. Contact your local council for disposal guidance.
