  Installation & Care Tips

Pro Tip: When cutting timber slats on site, always treat cut ends with a suitable end-grain preservative (such as Ensele) to maintain full protection against moisture ingress and rot. Fix using stainless steel or exterior-grade countersunk screws to prevent unsightly rust streaking.

Upgrade your garden and outdoor living areas with Beatsons’ R4A Redwood Venetian Slats. Venetian slatted fencing has quickly become a standout choice for modern landscaping, creating crisp horizontal lines that allow light and air to pass through while maintaining privacy.

Unlike standard whitewood, Scandinavian Redwood offers superior stability, better natural strength, and a smoother, high-end surface finish. These slats feature an R4A profile (Radiused 4 Arris), meaning all four long corners are precision-rounded. This subtle detailing provides a clean, premium feel, prevents splintering, and ensures even paint or stain adhesion if you choose to finish them.
