Eliza Tinsley Galvanised D Striker (Box of 10)

A galvanized D striker is a type of metal striker used primarily in various industrial and construction applications. The term "galvanized" refers to the process of coating the metal (usually steel) with a layer of zinc to prevent corrosion, making it more durable and resistant to environmental factors like rust.

Here’s a more detailed description:

• Material: Typically made from steel, the striker is coated with a layer of zinc through the galvanization process. This provides enhanced durability, especially in harsh environments.
• Shape: The "D" refers to the shape of the striker, which is often designed with a rounded or slightly curved edge resembling the letter "D." This shape helps to distribute impact forces more evenly, reducing wear and tear over time.
• Function: A D striker is commonly used to strike or hammer tools, particularly in cases where a softer impact surface is needed to avoid damaging the tool being struck. It's often used in heavy machinery, construction, or even in situations where precise force application is crucial.
• Applications: These are commonly used in industries such as construction, automotive, and manufacturing, where they are part of safety or machine operations to assist in the proper use of hammers, chipping tools, or other manual machinery.

This galvanized coating ensures the striker can withstand exposure to moisture, chemicals, and other environmental elements without deteriorating quickly.
