Brett Martin Double Socket PVC (BS) Coupler

This is a double‑socket PVC coupler made by Brett Martin. It’s used to join two plain‑ended underground drainage pipes together in a straight line. The “BS” designation refers to its compliance with relevant British / European standards for underground drainage systems (specifically the system standard BS EN 1401-1)

Construction & Design

• Made from uPVC (PVC‑U / rigid PVC) — a robust plastic material well suited for drainage systems, resistant to environmental stress, corrosion, and chemical exposure.

• The coupler is double‑socketed: both ends are socketed, meaning each plain-ended pipe can be pushed into either end, creating a joint in the middle.
• The interior often includes a lip seal / ring‑seal or compression‑seal (depending on exact variant), ensuring a watertight, leak-resistant joint that remains stable and secure.
