C16 regulated timber refers to a classification of structural timber that meets specific strength and quality requirements as outlined in European standards, particularly BS EN 338. The "C16" grade indicates that the timber is suitable for use in structural applications, such as beams, joists, and rafters, where moderate strength is required.

Is C16 timber suitable for outdoor use?

C16 timber is primarily used for framing, flooring and roofing. When C16 timber is treated it can be used for decking and outdoor landscaping projects. For increased longevity, we recommend using a high quality wood preserver to seal the timber.
