Everbuild Opti-Mix Mortar Plasticiser

Everbuild Opti-Mix Mortar Plasticiser is a highly concentrated, air-entraining liquid plasticising admixture designed to improve the properties and performance of mortar mixes. It comes in a self-gauging 1 L bottle.

Key Features

Highly concentrated formula – 1 L of Opti-Mix is equivalent in performance to approximately 25 L of conventional mortar plasticiser, reducing waste and storage needs.

• Air-entraining action – forms stable microscopic air bubbles within the mortar mix to improve workability.

Application Notes

• Typical dosage is 5–10 ml per 50 kg of cement.

• Add the product to the gauging water before mixing with dry materials — do not mix directly into the dry components.

What It Does

• Improves workability — giving mortar a “buttery” consistency that’s easier to spread and trowel.

• Reduces cracking and shrinkage — helps prevent cracking, shrinkage and mild frost damage during curing.

• Enhances durability — provides long-term resistance to freeze/thaw cycles.

Reduces efflorescence — because it replaces lime in the mix, it helps lower the chance of salt-staining (efflorescence).

Typical Uses

Everbuild Opti-Mix is suitable for use in:

• Pointing mortars

• Renders

• Screeds

• Bricklaying mortars
