Extreme Temperature Resistance: Performs reliably in harsh British weather, withstanding temperatures from -10°C to +100°C without slipping or melting. Multi-Surface Compatibility: Adheres seamlessly to brick, masonry, concrete, roofing felt, slate, terracotta, wood, glass, rigid plastics, and metalwork. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) Do I need to use a primer before applying Bostik Flashband? For clean, non-porous surfaces in warm weather, a primer is generally not required. However, if you are applying the tape to porous, dusty, or cold surfaces (such as weathered concrete, brickwork, or mineralized felt), using Bostik Flashband Primer is recommended to maximize adhesion. Can Flashband be applied during cold winter weather? Yes, but the adhesive becomes less tacky at lower temperatures. For best results when applying in temperatures below 15°C, store the roll in a warm room prior to use, and gently warm the surface or the tape's adhesive backing with a heat gun during installation. How much should I overlap adjacent strips of Flashband? When joining two pieces of flashing tape side-by-side or end-to-end, ensure a minimum overlap of 25mm to guarantee a continuous, watertight join.
