Beatsons Building Supplies began trading on 1st July 1984 under the watchful eye of owner John Marshall Snr. The original premises were a yard in Moss Road, Tillicoultry.
The business venture proved to be extremely successful and in 1988 John Marshall Jnr. took control of the business and developed and expanded it to the extent that larger premises were required, for the every increasing product range. In September 1990, Beatsons Building Supplies moved its flagship depot to The Whins in Alloa, where it continues to trade from today.
From this date onwards Beatsons Building Supplies has continued to grow and has expanded into other areas of Central Scotland. In 1998, a second depot was opened in Glencryan Road in Cumbernauld. This expansion proved very successful in building the Beatson’s brand and assisted in financing a further two depots. Penicuik branch opened in Eastfield Industrial Estate in 2006 and the most recent addition is the Dunfermline branch, based in Pitreavie Industrial Estate, which opened earlier this year in April 2007.
As the number of branches has continued to grow, so too has the product range. Beatson’s Building Supplies offer a full range of building, DIY and garden products. Beatsons strives to meet the needs of all, from the experienced tradesmen to the general public doing odd jobs around the home. Our varied customer base includes Joiners, Plumbers, Electricians, Decorators, Garden Designers and Landscapers, general handymen and general householders. Due to our expansive product range we have products to cater for their needs and if they require any specialised products, that we do not stock, then we will endeavour to order these goods in from one of our many suppliers.
At Beatsons we believe our success is built upon our great friendly service we supply to both trade and individual customers. We offer high quality products at affordable and realistic prices and our trained staff are able to offer a high degree of product knowledge and expertise.
We offer a exceptionally flexible and competitively priced delivery service and can provide kerbside delivery if required. We have a fleet of lorries across the branches ranging from pick-ups to 16 tonne mechanical off-loaders. We are open 6 days a week. Opening hours are 7.30a.m. to 5.00p.m. Monday to Friday and 7.30a.m. to 4.00p.m. on a Saturday.
